Yes really bored.
Took off the first bolt I made to fit the 2 nd one.

I then decided I didn't like the finishing on the first one I made.

So put it back on the lathe to skim off the surface and start over.
I went with more of a machined finish.

After looking at your work, I was thinking a larger diameter bolt with different shape
might be a good idea for my Gauntlet. Tks for the ideas. For some reason, I was thinking
highly polished brass might be a nice touch- to match the flat black rifle - lol - maybe NOT!~!

Yup the next step would be to re tap for 8-32 .
The stock bolt handle was .156
I made mine @ .180
Im going on the assumption the SS i used is stronger than the stock bolt mystery metal.
.180 is just under the max diameter for the breech it allows rock solid lock up.
That said the chamber throat is too tight and very rough so re throated it and polished it to nice gentle fit.
I also polished the bolt and the hammer surfaces to a mirror finish with rubbing compound cleaned out the gunky tube and greased with slick honey ,a mtb seatpost lube.
The action is so smooth and light now.

I really like how easy it is to work on these , very easy to improve them for just a little work.
I also think people are too rough with these things hence reports of broken bolts by ham handed folks, although they do really need an action job out of the box. But for the price they are a steal.

This will open up some avenues on my little lathe , including holes from 11.11 to 11.90mm.
Im thinking barrel shroud(cosmetic of course) with built in air splitter.
Ive got some 20mm carbon tube waiting..

Today fabbed. up the basic pieces to male the shroud /air stripper.
barrel ring pc 12mm
muzzle pc 11.7mm
with the adjustable reamer i got them both to fit very close tolerance.
Next to machine them into something usable..

Thank you
Here is an idea of what the plan is roughly.
If only i had a 7x12 lathe i could make these so much easier. my tiny unimate lathe stuggles a bit :(

So, I must ask at this point: Is this extension simply a muzzle brake with no supression function whatsoever?

Yes there is no actual extension as per previous diagram it is just a muzzle brake that ends 1 inch past the muzzle.

Im working on another (phase2) that will have an air splitter at the front:)
