Well on my way with the air stripper.
Since my lathe is so small i have to build modular style.
There will three pieces.
The mount , the stripper tube and the cone.
So far i have the mount finished minus the drive dog that needs cutting off..
Image

I am machining it on aluminum bar that machined that is a perfect press fit so everything is concentric with the bore axis. At the I'll cut off the end piece with the 3mm bolt securing it.

The tube is almost finished just needs venting milled ..
But i need sort the cone design out first .
Image

Lastly i will have reset my lathe up as mill to for the vents (crosses fingers i don't muck it up

I should mention this air stripper will slide into ride into the carbon tube to replace the end cap i made earlier this week.

Cones are not fun.
but I managed to get one good one.
The barrel shroud with air stripper is going to be a reality soon.
Please note I still have to mill the Air vents in the stripper.
The air stripper is a very close fit. I still have to put set screws in for final adjustment as well.

again this is not a suppressor..

Thanks Pistolero and Wesb '
Really enjoying working on this. Im going overboard on this but I like a good challenge. I would really use a 7x12 lathe...

When I decided to make a barrel shroud I bought the carbon tube on eBay before I had the rifle after eyeballing dozens of pictures of the cr600w.
I had ordered a carbon fibre 20 mm OD 18 mm ID tube.
Turns out I was banging on.
Although the Co2 filler cap "knurling" is a little bigger than the diameter of the pressure tube.
so I put it on my legs and turned it down a little bit.

Here is the completed her stripper barrel shroud my first ever.
3 mm cap screw on the bottom of it is temporary until I get some longer set screws in the mail.
i'm actually going to change them to 4 mm As I hate those tiny 1.5 mm Allen keys.

Sure Does I'm considering chopping it to 18-19 ish inches.. Id like it under 40 inches.
From what I've read non pal co2 rifles don't gain much fps after 18/19 inches and then I could thread the barrel end to 12mm x 1mm :)
