They didn't tell anyone to stop selling them! Quoting the distributor "RCMP told us not to import any more of the Marauder rifles. We asked them about existing stock with us and the retailers, they said it is ok to let the stock deplete."

This could mean -

1. We do not care about the existing ones. Just do not get any more of them.
2. Sell them. Once we make up our mind, we will take necessary action.

I know the anti gun fanatics are winning at this point and with the newly passed C-71 things are only going to get worse . Luckily I’ve got enough guns to keep me happy for a while including a few that I was actually surprised were non restricted . What if the manufacturers just start calling them “bull barrel style” rather than shrouded. That sounds less scary doesn’t it ? Hahahah

I don't think it be hard or costly for someone to make a delrin sleeve that slips over. I think that would satisfy the RCMP. It be like the fake suppressors. That are are solid.

From the original post, it seems the import of the shrouded model is no longer allowed. If I had a model that has the empty shroud, I would just continue using it and not give it another thought. "The Sky is falling" comes to mind.

Because the sellers would have to be compensated for their inventory, according to law.

Also - there would be no problem to cut off the shroud at the end of the barrel. I do not see a need to put the end-cap back in place.

Been shooting mine much of last winter indoors, on CO2 with no barrel support due to the large dia. 12oz CO2 bottle.

Thinking like them. It would be more that they're still using the shroud, even if they modified it, it still a shroud, or was.
