 Post subject: early 80's 1322 question

I always hear about these habing roll pins for the pump mechanism.
my early 80's one has a very nice hardened steel pin with a clip not a roll pin. When did that change?

I heard that change was made together with the new style plastic pump arms?

Well my rear cocker 1322 still had a plastic pump handle. I want to say when they switched over to the plastic breech from the sliding cover breech. As a way of saving money.
