Replica Airguns just previewed the new Springfield Armory M1 Carbine CO2 Blowback Steel BB Rifle (technically a long gun, as no rifled barrel) with real wood stock.

Mike seems pretty enthusiastic about it. He reports that real wood stock is a lot better than the faux wood stock. I tend to agree with him.

What's everyone's opinion?

It is also being offered for presale at Airgunsource, with faux wood stock.

Looks like an interesting replica airgun. Tom Gaylord gave the gun high reviews, and said it was one of the most accurate BB guns he has tried.

Being that I own a authentic WW2 M1 Carbine, I say it looks nice. But I just cannot get past the mag. I know its has to be like that for the Co2. But I would have made the magwell a little bigger and kept the mag straight, and not taper any bit.

Looks of the 'real wood' stock M1 is very convincing. But I dunno about paying out 420.$ + for a BB rifle.
Again...I can appreciate that the Umarex Walther Lever Action with real wood and weight can still carry a steep price tag compared to the 'faux wood' on the Legends Winchester 1894 replica AND the WW2 M1 carbine also available in the 'faux wood' version.
Wonder if the manufacturers will eventually release a Pellet version. That would be sweet and a keeper.
