Hey Gary ~ just feel free to ask any questions in the forum! It's boring for us to see no new posts while open the forum page ~

Hi Gary

I own three iterations of the TX200 and my PCP guns have been collecting dust in the gun safe. The quality and simplicity of the gun just makes it fun to shoot. No tanks, hoses, compressors, etc needed. So I certainly back you with your choice of gun.

The AirMax line of scopes is great; I have one on one of my TX200s. I went for the 4-16 because of the versatility. The 4X is great for quick target acquisition and the 16X allows you to reach out further. If you want to try field target (FT), the 16X is perfect for Hunter FT where I encourage most people to start. The initial investment is higher for sure, but this is just my recommendation.

Good luck and have fun.

Thanks so much for the endorsement on the TX200 and the scope. Tim. What a coincidence. I was just reading the summary of the Canadian team that went over to Poland last year. It sounded like quite the trip.

I appreciate the comments about the 4-16 and will do some thinking on that. I'm sure at some point in the future I'll end up with more than one gun which means I'll need more than one scope. :-) Maybe a nice upgrade will be needed for the TX down the road if I can actually start hitting some of the longer distance shots.

Cheers.
