My first air gun (no bb guns, & purchased by me) was a BlackLine HW97 in .177.

The first "real" gun that I got to shoot was a break-barrel so that set the pattern for me - nobody used BB guns so it was pellets all the way. I worked a whole summer cutting lawns and doing chores to save up the money to buy my Slavia 618. My $10 bill bought the rifle and 6 boxes of pellets ...which only lasted for 2 days. I lived near a large wooded area along the St Lawrence river and was out shooting all the time I wasn't doing chores to make money to buy more pellets. Still have that rifle and shoot it regularly.

My second rifle was a Crosman 101 that my father had when he was a teenager. Still have that one as well and recently overhauled it - new leather pump; seals; and I fitted a Maximus barrel and made a new bolt for it. 70 plus years old and it is shooting fine.

In 1966, I received my first airgun. It was a Daisy Targeteer BB pistol. I shot it in our backyard in a suburb of Toronto. Rather than phone the police as would most likely happen today, the next door neighbour made be a beautiful wooden target holder on a post.

Haha. I love reading everyone's story. I'm glad I chose this topic to be my first thread.

I remember when I was a kid, me and my buddy had a collection of metal cap-gun revolvers. We used to buy them at Dixie Flea Market. Now I have a closet full of airguns.

Actually, I have a bunch of BB and pellet guns I'd like to try selling. A lot of them are practically new in their boxes. I have an IMGUR account setup so I could post some pics.

Thanks, I may just do that.

I'm fairly new because I haven't posted very much. I'd like to spend some more time on this forum.

Years of collecting airguns has been fun, but now at 39, I'm thinking I don't need all my airguns anymore (as much as I love a good collection).

I would been like 15 when I took these pictures. But I think I had them before. You know what it was like when you got a camera.. had to take pictures of EVERYTHING. First it was the Marksman BB gun. The M4 was a airsoft.

Gotta love crosman trigger locks.

Haha, I had one of those silver 1911-like Marksmans too. It was mostly all plastic. I think mine cracked...I don't even remember what the heck happened to mine.

I had one of those Marksman 1911 ish pistols. The ones you pushed down on a lever, a plunger out back popped out, you tilted the muzzle to load, flipped it back up, and pushed in the plunger. Mine was mostly pot metal. Came with darts and wouldn't hit anywheres you aimed. The Silver was a Crosman 1008.

I've listed 4 airguns on this forum I'd like to sell.
It's quite difficult to let them go.
I remember getting each one and the anticipation leading up to it.

I'm gonna speculate that approximately 11 years from now you will begin to regret that. :(

Maybe you're right, hehe. Last time I checked I had about 60 airguns, so parting with a few extras is okay, I suppose.
