Really like the look of this gun but wondering if its legal within Canada?
I don't want to look much further into it if its R-Pal or Restricted here. I know about the rules around carbines (aka 2240,2250) as I have owned a few, but BullPup design is new to me.

It's forbidden in Canada.

just wondering why this is not allowed in Canada, while FX impact is technically a bullpup and norinco type 97 is being sold in Cabelas

Bullpups used to be fine as long as the gun could not be shot with the stock off. I'm not really sure if the RCMP has put them in a darker place recently.
One thing for sure, they'd have to get rid of that silencer.

Yeah ~ the Bulldog looks so strange and different from others is what I like, looks like a F117 stealth bomber. And it's powerful too... .

Funny how an AG bullpup is illegal where the powder burning equivalent is an unrestricted firearm.

It would be nice if Manufactures would put a key in the stock that pushed a sear block out of the way so gun would fire in stock ,but not when taken out of stock. then we could have them.

It's illegal because it's considered a bullpup stock. If you take the action out of the stock, you can shoot it semi normally. Because Its be like taking a Rem 700, filing down the trigger to be a nub, drilling a hole, and adding a rod from that trigger to another trigger forward. Just gotta pull on the nub.

So the bullpups airguns in Canada, like the FX impact, I believe is designed in a way, that it won't fire without a stock on.

Bullpup rifles ( Tavor, Type 97, RBD ETC ) are designed that the stock are part of the action, taking a cover off, makes the gun un able to fire. There are alot of other bullpup rifles that are just prohib by name.

That why there are not alot of bullpup air rifles in Canada. Due to they don't meet the requirement and considered bullpup stocks, which is illegal.

What makes a Bullpup rifle dangerous when it can fire without the stock? Makes it become a super high power pistol? If, so, can them just classify the Bullpup as restricted at least we can have a chance to own? ( Without the shoulder stock, can normal human manager that beast? )

You mean bullpup stocks? Easier to make a gun conceal. Laws made back when the government prohibited anything evil/para military. back in like 1991-1993.. Some guns were banned just by name.

Here is an example of a 10/22 in a bull pup stock. As you can see that the gun still has the normal trigger/guard, with just a linkage to the forward trigger.

You're not firing a actual bullpup rifle without a stock. Take this Type 97.. I had one, same license to own a Rem 700 as to this. You took off the buttstock/reciever cover ( Top Right ) The gun won't function because one the bolt will slam you in the face if you have a round chambered, and no way for it to work, Because no recoil system.

So the RCMP seen many of these Airguns as just a airgun in a bullpup stock.
