OK so these aren't real Jewels, your girlfriend probably won't like them.
But I always wanted to learn how to do jewelling.
You use a very small rubber abrasive Dremel bit in a micro milling machine and an index head. Takes a while but I like the way it looks and it really smooths out the action by removing the horizontal lathe marks on the bolt.

This is custom bolt handle that I made and hand checkered for my CR 600 W.

but i believe that's referred to as Swirl Pattern
#1 is swirl
#2 is checkering

sorry yes your correct its jewelling but the pattern is swirl
checkering is in the end of the bolt handle, that's what i meant... :wink:
