Technically it's a pistol, but you can sort of use it as a rifle.

If you're looking for a first pistol, the P17 is my suggestion. A first rifle, something pneumatic will help with accuracy in the beginning. A springer will likely last you a bit longer before you want something else. It won't take long though, you'll be getting something else shortly. Then again after that.

Yep, adding a shoulder stock you can shoot it 'like' a carbine, adding an longer barrel too, you can shoot it 'like' a rifle...

However, its definition in law, is a pistol. So that will related to if you moded it to shoot too fast, you will have to register it as a R.PAL rated restricted firearm. Which will bring you too much trouble to shoot it again... Not a wise choice in Canada.

Good to know. Though no mention of modding, and for a first gun a carbine/pistol combo isn't a bad choice. The 1377 and 2289 were some of my first purchases.

Yeah~ I started with a 1322 too... Of course a carbine with shoulder stock and steel breech.... The most essential mods for an American Classic....
