I purchased a set of Benjamin/Crosman B272 Intermount scope mounts to set up a scout scope set-up on my 392. Unfortunately they don’t fit properly. They don’t clamp properly to the barrel as the lower part pushes them upwards. This results in all the clamping pressure being put on the solder joint between the barrel and the air tube. I lost the receipt for the bases so I couldn’t return them. I contacted Crosman about the problem, and they were great, sending me out another set under warranty. Unfortunately they fit the same as the first set. Have any of you tried these mounts and had better luck with them? I like this type of mount but I don’t want to damage the solder joint by putting u due pressure on it. The only possible solution would be to remove metal from where the mounts come into contact with the air tube, however I don’t think I should have to do repairs to new parts to make them fit. If anyone has any ideas, I’d like to hear about them. Thanks.

Well the second set of scope mounts came from Crosman and they were no better. Crosman suggested I return the pair they sent me back to D&L for a refund since they were in their original package, which D&L agreed to. Not a good product but it was made up for by great service from both Crosman and D&L.

I have a mount that doesn’t work either. It’s fairly old, came in a red box that says Sheridan. It’s about 3 inches long 2 piece and made of black aluminum. I put it on my silverstreak tighten the screws and it slides if you push it. I was wondering if it fits the .22 barrel tightly? Anybody have one of these? This mount looks like those one inch Crosman mounts ,but it’s around 3-4 inches long. It’s not one of those square ones.
