Hey folks

I am about to start modding my 1377 and I have learned about the infamous flimsy breech screw in these airguns. This is the tiny screw in the loading trough under where the bolt slides.

I know after market sources for slotted and even torx head replacement screws but pricing is ridiculous. I found a Canadian source that would cost $30 including shipping for one screw!

From what I gather the factory hex screw size is 4-48X1/4" with a 0.050 socket drive.

I'm gonna see if I can find a local source but.i thought I would see anyone knows of Canadian source for this screw (and other 13xx mods)?

Thanks!

couple options, if you can remove it and have a dremel you can put a very thin slice
on the top of the allen screw and then use a flat screwdriver or try your local hardware store for a
replacement screw with a different type head, or order from here...https://www.ebay.com/itm/CUSTOM-BREECH- ... 2214699909

Thanks, I don't know why I didn't even think of searching on eBay.

I may try cutting a slot in the screw but I'd prefer a better screw. Haha

Thanks again,

Got any local gun shops? 4-48 is a very common screw size for scope mounts on rifles.

Never seen 4-48 used on ANY scope mount, I think you mean 6-48

I've never ordered from them, so I'm curious what you think of Magnum Airpower?

I've purchased from him a couple of times. Was never a problem and I have been happy with the products.
