Just ordered my first pellet pistol, a Sig M17 CO2 as the title states. I know it won't be as accurate as single shot pistols but do you think it's a good buy? I had a full metal (with litter internals) cybergun P92 before that barely lasted 20 shots and an umarex H&K P30 that lasted... 1 shot... Yes 1 shot.

Hopefully this one lasts at least 1000+ shots

And I'm looking for suggestions for a good airsoft pistol under 250CAD with good internals that won't break or that can at least be repaired... I was thinking about the ICS Sarsilmaz green gas pistol (special gas valve, fixed barrel, mostly metal, one piece shooting assembly) or the new Sig Sauer ProForce like the military use... What do you think? The ICS seem more precise but it's on pre order 230$ shipped.

Can't comment on the airsoft, but I have a Sig Sauer M17.

Bought it used on this forum. I am happy with it.

Nice pellet CO2 airgun. I'm getting lots of shots per CO2. More than 60 on a warn day. Nice velocity & blowback. Interesting CO2 loading system. Took a little getting use to, but once you get the hang of it, I find it better than the "screw down" system on most other airguns. Less CO2 loss.

It is a belt system, so best to use flat head pellets, and make sure they are all properly seated in belt, to avoid any jams. Once in a while it does not fire a pellet out of the belt, but that's not very often.

I use lighter pellets (Crosman Wadcutter 7.4 gr. for 1st couple of belts & 7.0 gr. RWS for last belt) and have been having success. Not the most accurate air pistol, but can be accurate enough, with some practice.

All in all if you are looking for a nice pellet shooting replica air pistol with decent blow back, you should be happy with it. Just don't expect Olympic caliber shooting accuracy. It's a plinker.

Also, it is a very accurate replica of the real Sig Sauer M17, the new US Army's standard side arm. If you examine them side by side, it's not that easy to tell the difference.

I was not a fan of the m17, I sold it. Low power, and leaked. I sold it, it has a cool factor and great looks. But it’s not a quality piece of equipment. I have yet to try a Sig air gun product that I like. Their firearms on the other hand are dialled.
