I have that reddot, bought if for my 10/22.

Put it on, sighted it in, took it off and bought a scope.

Not a good optic.

I hear ya, but I'm hoping the red dot will be good enough for my plinking and ratting needs. You're running a rifle there so perhaps your 10/22 deserves something better. My main concern is to have a shorter scope installed ahead of where you insert the pellets to give me room for my fat fingers. As it is now, I have an old 3/4" scope mounted across the breech and it makes inserting a pellet a real chore as you can't get your finger in there close enough so to drop it in precisely, ends up dancing around cause you kind of have to let it fall in and then it jumps around...

Understood, I'm having the same issue putting a scope on my B4-2, scope covers the breech area and getting a pellet in there is a PITA.
I was thinking of putting it on my 1322 but as a zero power optic I might as well just use the irons (Plastics I guess  )

Don't always believe in descriptions online. Sometimes businesses put description of one item, and photo of another.

Tasco does sell that reddot in a dovetail mount. And do believe that CT does sell it, I've seen it before. Just go in store.

Just drove out to the farther CT that had 2 in stock to test your advice and no luck - they were both as described on the website, designed for the weaver mount. No luck. Booo.

I'm temporarily out of the dovetail red dots, 25 coming in a couple weeks.
I've got these though that I can send letter mail for $2 shipping https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/2pcs-lot-do ... e-adapter/
They won't lift the red dot up anymore so are quite nice.
Your 2240 breech is flat on top, not rounded correct? If it's rounded it won't work but I think the crosman breeches are flat if I remember correctly.
If you want $2 shipping just check out with the emt option and send $15 less than the total.
Thanks,
Wes

Thanks for the offer.

This is the breech I have. Can you tell me if it will work?

It looks like it will work to me since the top is machined flat.
Thanks,
Wes

Okay, thanks again. I'm gonna try them. I placed the order as you know. Even though I don't have experience with scopes my feeling is that its going to be too high with the rail adapter, even though it is a low profile. Is there any truth to this, or do you think the scope will operate fine at that slightly elevated height?
