jonny101 you are comparing to very different rifles. for one the 1077 is co2 and repeater. the quest is a single shot break action rifle. in terms of which one is more accurate and reliable i would have to say the quest. i have not heard many good things about the 1077 which is why i don't have one. quest would be a better rifle for hunting, as i've heard some of the 1077s will only do 360fps.

I agree, the 1077 is a paper puncher, because most shoot in the late 300's, which isn't enough power in my opinion, but the quest does need some work done as well, such as changing the barrel bushings to metal ect, but a good gun for the money.HTH.

when i first read the thread title i laughed... there is no comparison..

Get a Quest1000 and shoot side by side with one of your friends who own one of those 1077 and see the difference..

and once you tune it up, lookout..

WHat are you looking for? a hunting or target gun?

chops,
does changing th barrel bushing change the problem where the scope isnt acurate because the barrel isnt lined up after each shot after sighting it in. i mostly hunt and i would blow up a few cans once in a wile

yes they can be bought at any store BUT the thickness is what is important.. You have to have the right thickness or it wont go back together..

What i did was carefully file the washers down till the action fit together nice a SNUG.. When you file the washers down make sure to file each washer the same so the barrel sits centered. Use a micrometer if your eyes dont work right lol
