FT Shoot at HAHA December 7th

#1 Post by JHemming »

Hi everyone,

Given how cooperative the weather has been so for this Fall, we're looking to have a shoot at HAHA on Dec 7th. Long range is 0C and sunny.

We'll shoot the standard format with some fun thrown in and get an email out closer to the date.

If you are able to make it post here or send an email the me at ftcanada@bell.net.

As always with this time of year, we'll keep an eye on the weather and if it changes make the call the Friday before.

See you at HAHA!

Shoot Straight, Often and Safe!

I was going to check out FT next season but with the extra date added I put a rush on things in the hopes of getting my new PCP sorted and a good pellet match found (first batch of pellets got caught in the postal strike, but I got a stack more today). I won't be able to make it until ~9:30 that day, which may be too late to start? Even if I can't get the rifle sorted in time or the timing doesn't work, I still aim to head over to check it out as a spectator if the event goes ahead.

Edit: I found a pellet that works at <20fpe (actually ~10.9fpe, which is maybe not ideal, but it will be okay for the day) so my plan is currently to attend if the event is a go. I believe I'd be in "hunter" class.

Cheers,
Dave

I'll be there either way. Unless there is alot of snow. Cold or warm.
Deal with local or small business, they treat you way better than the big chain stores!

Hi all, looking at:

1. the low number of replies
2. the weather over the next two days
3. the 37 kph gusts / -6C temps for Saturday

Not going to be a good shooting day so, no FT shoot this Saturday.

Don't really like calling it this way. It's gotta be fun and those conditions won't be.

Dave, if you're interested in getting some time in, Sunday is a better weather day and I'll be at HAHA. Glad to sign you in as a guest and do some shooting with you. Only thing is we may have have some centre fire guys out. Ping me at ftcanada@bell.net if you'd like meet up on Sunday and get some time in with your rig.

Thanks for the offer. I have access to lots of places to shoot at the moment -- member at DDHA, can do 30 yards at home right now, though I'll eventually move a fence and make that 50+ and am near completion on my 20 meter indoor archery/air range. I was looking forward to learning the ropes of FT, but I suppose this just means I have more time to get my rifle really tuned in while the world is frozen.

Cheers,
Dave

You're welcome, Dave!

Wow, you have some great options. All the best with them and if you have any questions you know where to ask :)

See you in the Spring!
