Thanks to @Ten-Ring, I got the Daisy 499B I was looking for.
I am quite impressed with it. Trigger initially feels kind of mushy, but then it hits a point where it becomes solid, and just a tad more of a "pull" or "press" and it fires, and the pull is very light, lightest trigger I have felt in my life, thus far.
The stock is a good length, and a good width as well. The lever action is very smooth, and easy, no ratcheting safety, just one complete pull of the lever.
Basically, I am very impressed and very happy. Only thing I think I will do to it, is sand the stock, and stain it in a darker color, and put a couple gloss coats on as well, and maybe a rubber butt pad, and of course, put the provided medallion on as well.
I quickly installed the peep sight, and these are the best sights I have ever used, require no batteries, but are very easy to see, and easy to aim, almost like point and shoot, no need to line up posts or anything like that.
I did not adjust the sights yet after installing them, and my glasses were kind of foggy, so it was hard to see where exactly I was aiming, except for that I was aiming around the red bullseye. But it still did well, for free hand standing shooting, not sighted in, and with foggy glasses. Should be excellent when sighted in, and with clear glasses.
Again, I am quite happy with my purchase, and this rifle.

Hi Twiggy, glad you are enjoying it. I have one but haven’t fired it in quite a while. Yes it does have a good trigger. Very accurate BB rifle. Mine really liked the Daisy Avanti Ground BB’s. Think I got them at Amazon.ca.

Interesting. I've never been a BB gun shooter by ownership, that is. When I was about 6 or 7, I shot a Daisy pump BB gun, at a clothesline pulley. The gun was owned by a neighbour. He hit it every shot. I would think the range was fairly close, maybe 50'. It was a solid pulley. This was in 1956 or 57.
Best Wishes

Yeah, this is designed for 5 meter ranges. It is built for the 5 meter bb target shooting contest, sponsored by the NRA and regulated by the NRA. You can get NRA approved 5 meter targets on the Daisy website.
I haven't sighted the sights in yet, because as I said, I will be sanding and re-staining the stock and forearm, so it doesn't make sets to sight things in now, and then have to sight in again after.

Update:
I just wanted too add, this rifle is still awesome.
I just finished sighting it in, using an official competition target for a competition I am participating in, so small proper rifle targets.
I'm just using "ultra smooth" "zinc plated" "premium" Daisy BB's, and not the Daisy Precision Max or "Avanti" (match grade) BB's it is designed for, or the Hornady Black Diamond which I heard also work really well in it, and I am hitting on the line between the 8 and 9 rings consistently, and I got one bullseye. This is of course with a lot of support, so the rifle itself doesn't move much, to eliminate the human factor from the sight-in process.
Now that I know the rifle shoots good, when I am shooting it for real, I know it's not the rifle, it's me.
