Peavey Mart going out of business

#1 Post by Dukemeister »

Last week I was upset I couldn't find Crosman pellets I wanted. This week, I see Peavey Mart is going out of business. It's a sad state of affairs. Peavey Mart took over TSC Stores (Canada) about 8 yr ago.
One less source for stuff. :( :(

i know what you mean duke. i live in port colborne -but every time i wen,t to welland for some reason- i would stop in the tsc (peavey mart store)- just to take a look at what they had. then one day i wen,t and when i got there it was closed-- there was a big leons sign on the building-- the big leons store is in the next lot over. so i figure they were going to move into the building. sucks.

Pretty sure the Peavey Mart in Dawson Creek is going strong.
They surely have a lot of STUFF in stock.

I read an article saying that most if not all will close. This is just the beginning of the closures we are about to experience here in Canada. I’d put money on McDonalds also closing in 2025. If you look at the waste we as consumers create ( globally) we need to reduce it majorly, if not our planet will be in a ‘dire’ situation.

We need to get back making top quality products instead of filling our precious planet with waste.

Makes sense. Their prices on up to 30% off store closing doesn't compete with other stores here or online regular prices. They were way out to lunch. Probably did well where there was no other competition but they expanded for instance to our town where there was Canadian Tire and another "farm" type store already doing business.

I agree, it does indeed suck. I also used to shop there.

Earlier this week I was on their website to see what airgun stuff they had left in stock. I did go to my local Peavey yesterday and cleaned them out of Daisy Hollow Point pellets @ $12.99 /500 less 10%. Today I went online to see what else I might want to wheeze from the store... but the on-line website is blank, just a black and yellow ALL STORES CLOSING.
