Two mod questions: Crosman 2289 and Diana Model 5 G

#1 Post by Wrong Way »

First the pumper: What kind of maximum velocity can I reasonably expect to achieve with 10 pumps after modding (assuming price is not a factor)

Can some one tell me what my Model 5 should shoot stock (fps), and if there are any good mods for this gun?

Thanks Guys!

I would like to add to Wrong Ways question by asking what the design difference is between the Canadian and American guns.

2289 if I'm not mistaken by modding the port alone should get about 560 to 580.

Model 5G stock = 410 fps. no mod. instead get P5 stock gets 580 to 600.

cant tell you alot on the 2289 i only got mine for making pump arms an then i sold it only shot a couple of pellets just to see what it was like but its a good hard hitter and ther are alot of mods out there for it i prefer a 2240 my self
as for the diana 5G i just got mine last night, it was a gift from a friend and in pretty much new condition.. shoots really nice and hard as for the the modability.. as long as the barrel hing and latch line up and the breech i see no reason whay you cant put on a much longer barrel to it but as for hoping up the power i would not sudjest it but to each his own i always say, you can also get this model is 22 cal as well.. its a very sweet pistol for a springer and alot of people know iam not a big springer person in the pistol class..any how hope this helps a bit
