brake line for co2

#1 Post by killercrow »

hey everbodee.. any of you guys ever try using steel brake line for say a paintball gun, or pellet gun? for bulking purposes i mean. im gonna give it a try anyhow. got all the fittings im gonna need, except i'll need to make a custom 4-AN to 1/4" course thread  should be interesting!
just never happy with my gun... it spends more time in pieces than anything else  but!!!! everytime i take it apart i make something better. finally got my trigger working good. valve has been ported to the max... well, i could get a little more, but... that would mean boring out the valve chamber.
well, off i go! i'll post up some pics when i got something.
later.

ya'll are a drag!! holy cow  ahhh whatever. got me gun all rigged up. its got a 20 oz tank hose clamped to the side of it now. with the new plumbing it holds enough for one shot, which is a good thing! before i had it rigged with a remote into a modified co2 cart, when i'd turn off the bottle id waste like 10 shots worth of gas just shooting off the excess gas... not enough power to bother using.
i have a theory!! i figure, since its such a gas hog, i could get away with using a .25 cal. barrel at the same length... 23" or so... wouldnt that be sweet
come on guys! someone else needs to do a custom paintball pellet gun!!! i feel like such a loner  heh...

i'll get a couple new pics tonite...

i've thought of making one out of this old spyder p98 that doesnt work anymore (got ripped off in an auction, the guy sent me a piece of junk that leaks, missing bolt handle, ball detent, etc.... a few years ago)

it would be a lot of work and im not sure how the pellets would load...

how come you don't use hydrolic flex line . or grease gun tubing . a lot easier then copper and has ends on it . $7 at walmart for 12'' can't kink it either.just a suggestion .
25cal would be good ,prolly go as fast as the 22cal

Why not just use braided Stainless hose from your local paintball shop?

jezx, im using steel brake line. not copper. i got it all done up. doesnt leak, just took a few practices to get the double flare good to go. and when you bend brake line with the spring provided, it doesnt kink either. gives a good rigid finished product. thought about grease gun hose too, donno how much they cost, but the brake line i bought was only about $3.00. i appreciate the suggestions though!

ustilago, my local paintball shop is about 4 hours away  dont think i'll go that route..

webstein, sounds awesome. making stuff is fun... i find it more gratifying than buying somthing you can build yourself. also, that way its built for you, you know exactly how it works, and if you play your cards right, it'll fit you perfectly.

I'm just outside of Lethbridge, There's a pathetic excuse for a paintball store there and there's another shop out in Taber.
