New parts for 2240's and up

#32 Post by David Allard »

Those last 3 pictures of the modify 2240 (or is it 2289) are what I expect from an airgun. I just quickly glance at it. Come back later...

I was scanning over the forum and saw this post. There are alot of truths written by Exoce.....I was using Fedex because I didn't know any better, and was labeling packages and adding shipping + cost of parts on the totals.
I'm sure I lost most of the packages that I lost by labeling them correctly.
I'm sure this is why a couple of people didn't pay their customs duty because it was more than it should have been. When you start shipping to another country, Fedex,UPS are no help for sure.
I have since learned a little more about shipping to other countries, and package labeling. So if you are one of the people that paid more than you should of, I am sorry.

RJ,
I know where you are coming from. I had the same problems when I started buying and selling on Ebay.
UPS and FEDEX can make an honest man look like a crook.
Like you, I now only use the post office and no more problems.

Good luck with business.

You meant you're getting the CB Bolt & CB Breech .....
excellent stuff, very light, and you can still use the open sights.
4 set screws holding the barrel, you can have it free floating
without barrel band (2240) but 2289 perhaps barrel band does
good there.

Jim is a cool guy, easy to deal, shipment is usually about 8-10 days,
unless custom got it, then slightly longer, he would mark it for
airgun under 500 fps .... I wonder why ???

Hey while you're at it, ask him where's in canada the keith's grip come
from ...... so Rob doesn't have to get a bounty ....lol...

Resurrection...

Does this 2240SBPK install on 2240 and 2289 so easily that an idiot could do it? By idiot I mean somebody who still has never taken a Crosman gun apart.

Could it even be installed on a 1322 Phase II with the separate cocking? If so, would I lose the separate cocking? Or do I still have to cock separately? I would prefer to have separate cocking, but I can live without it.

Thanks.

No  I'm an idiot right here. I accidently overscrewed the little allen key screw and I had to get another one. I replaced it with a normal screw. I also forgot to put the gas transfer valve back. I did everything right and now my 2240 shoots great! All these step took me 4 days.

You bet! When I got mine, I was thoroughly impressed. The pistol seems much more stable because of the added weight, thus better groupings.

I take that as a YES for idiot-suitable installation then? You can bet I'll have more questions when I get them...

Would still like to know what happens to the cocking in a Phase I/II 1322/77.

Any other part numbers I should get at the same time? Like metal barrel bands? Got a numero for them?

I'm a bit old fashioned and think there should just be metal and wood in guns. Well, maybe some other stuff, rubber in air guns is OK, but as little plastic as possible. At least none that I can see...
