Quest pellets

#1 Post by ABshooter »

I'm trading my 1040 in for a Quest 500 (probably tomorrow :D ), and I would like to know which brand and type of pellets work best in yours. Has anyone here ever gotten a Quest that just didn't work? From the reviews at review centre it would seem like crosman has some serious quality control problems :? ...I WOULD LIKE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS!!!!!

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

I have both rifles.
The scope on my Beeman works real good.
But the point of impact with a scope on my Quest changes , for me this rifle works better with the open sight.
Both of my rifles shoot good with Crosman Copperhead Pointed & Wadcutter.

In your opinion, which rifle is better? The reason I am returning the 1040 is that the sights are really delicate and weak.

My Beeman 1040 is the one without sights, the one with the scope and the muzzle brake.
The back sight on my Quest 500 has some kind of rubber base that srews on the barrel & 2 plastic adjusting knobs attach to a spring loaded sheet metal U plate ,not the strongest thing either, but it works ok for me.
I like the Beeman 1040 a bit more.
But which one is better ,it is hard to say for sure.

Rene,
How is the trigger on your Quest 500? I keep thinking about getting this rifle, I don't need it, it's just the addiction part that keeps nagging at me. I spoke to a guy at Cantire and he said they would match Lebarons price(129.99w/scope), and that would mean that they are willing to go down in price by $60Cnd!

Does anyone know who has the best price on the Quest 500? I bet the guy at Cantire will match it. Thanks,

Mulby

I find the trigger on the trigger on the Quest on the heavy side but predictable and smooth compare to the Beeman 1040 which is sometime unpredictable.
I hope that is a help.
