EVERYONE POST!! I WANT YOUR OPINION!!

The crosman quest 500 seems to have a problem with accuracy with a scope. Is the scope a piece of junk, or does the gun just not team with a scope very well?? :?

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

Is there an echo?

There have been many posts on the Quest being tough to scope.
The Quest do not team well with a scope.
Tried tightening the pivot bolt. Get a very good scope mount. Get a better scope. Just could not get it to group well with a scope. I believe it just have a poor break barrel lockup.
However, it shoots great with the stock open sight. So that is where mine stayed.

i think its just the scope that comes with it is crap. i dont see why the quest would have bad lock up consistancy, because its the same as any other gun.
my airguns, Crosman Quest 500, Gamo Delta, Daisy Buck, and Diana Mod 24!

If you are talking about the scope that comes with it, i would vote its the scope. The 4032 crosman scope doesnt have an adjustable objective. And i think it is set for 50 yards, possibly 100. It could be a pellet problem too. I think we need more details to try and diagnose the problem.

Try the "bump test" on the Quest 500. Shoot 2 pellets, lightly bump the side of the barrel, shoot 2 more pellets, lightly bump it the other way, shoot 2 more pellets. See if the POI moves. Report results. :D

I think someone once said the pivot washers are synthetic. Maybe change to metal.

The B-18/19 (basically same rifle) has been known to have a pivot/hinge bushing that was slightly too long and did not allow the pivot screw to tighten enough. The solution was to file a bit off the end of the bushing.

I definitely second that opinion .....

Almost all my springers are Europeans, I know the Diana36 .177 with the higest velocity has no problem with scope except one junker cr rm422. The rest I have peepsight and iron sights.

Perhaps you want to try peepsight on the Quest and install it at the very back of the rail.
