Hi ineedpal,

Your Drulov looks beautiful. Definitely well worth the money for that nice of a gun.
Semi-Auto single action, you got to love that.
Excellent purchased, congrats.

To get anything better you would pay a huge amount more . Even a used LP5 would probably set you back a grand . The rifle sounds like fun .

I wonder if the CenterTheGroup would sell a Drulov at their advertized price of USD$380.00 (CAD$443.00)??? Sounds much better than CAD$525.00.....

Hi airgunfun,

The company appears to be Canadian based so they likely work the price backwards to your idea. They likely calculate the American price based on the Canadian price. The current American price is likely higher than the advertised $390USd. That's my guess :D

I'm still trying to figure out the pellet feeding mechanism on the Drulov. This German web site has some good pics of the detailed parts. Using the Google translator helps but the translation is direct.

It appears as though a slightly heavier hammer spring could be used to increase velocity closer to 500fps. I'm not sure if a heavier spring would impede the auto cocking. Experimentation would be needed. At 480-495fps and 40-50 shots per powerlet ... hmmm... very sweet. :D

I wonder if it's possible to increase the magazine capacity by cutting back the spring guide...looks excessively long??? A 10-shot Drulov sounds much more fun!!!!

I think this mod is really easy, actually I used to feed 6 pellets in the gun.

Hi ineedpal,

How does the Drulov react to rapid shooting? The velocity with the Aeron B96 appearently does very well with rapid shooting so the Drulov might do the same. My TAU-7 did very well with rapid shooting and did not loose velocity at all (12-15sec between shots was as fast as I could load). I had a Crosman 1008 that didn't do well with rapid shooting (velocity decline).

Have you ever checked velocity with various pellets?

I measured a 5shots string (with 1 sec pause each shots) on my chrony, it give 3fps velocity decline every shot. [/img]

Hi ineedpal,

Thanks for the great pics!

What did you find to be the maximum adjusted muzzle velocity for your preferred pellet (please state pellet weight)?

How is the velocity effected with a 15 second rest between shots? Please use a watch so there is no guessing :D

Do you ever get jams in the DU-10? If so, how often?

Your tests and pics are very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Todd

TCooper:
tomorrow when I have time I'll do some tests with the gun.
yes the gun gets jam when there's not enough gaz pressure to fully recock the gun, it will shoot like a machine gun and the pellets will get stuck in the barrel. but I don't think this is a problem, because you'll really notice the power drop before and replace the co2. Other than that, the gun never gets jam.

DU-10

#30 Post by Southpaw »

I bought a DU10 about 6 months ago. I really like the weight and over all feel of the gun, but have been troubled by "double shots" with almost every reload of 5 pels. I haven't taken much time to experiment but have dialed up the velocity by 2 turns. I haven't chrono'd yet, but still get 70 shots per 12g powerlet. I've only tried H&N pistol pellets [4.50 wadcutters]. I purchased the gun from Jocelyn and have been advised that I need to find a balance between pellet weight and velocity in order for the DU10 to operate reliably. I'm now looking for a tin of R-10's or rifle H&N's in search of repeatable 5 shot series.

Any idea what the scope is on the rifle version a few posts up?

Regard,
SP
