co2 pistol .40

#1 Post by cozmos »

This is my co2 pistol in cal.40 it has a 12" barrel, whit a sound moderator.
I use it to shoot .40 blowgun darts, and runs on 12g co2 bulbs.

and her are 2 pix off it as a rifle, it uses a 12grams co2 buld, and you get 14 shoots att 484 fps.

Someone else here did a Talon a while back.

Hmmm, I've got enough parts laying around to throw a Tigershark together. Got the barrel sleeve for my Daisy and the stock barrel for my 2240 somewhere around here too.

Quit giving me impure thoughts. . .

used a terminator .40 blowgun as a barrel, glued it to position inside the paintball barrel whit expoy.

an original bolt compared to my modded one
the holowtube seal inside the barrel.

Image

then i drilled out the zlits for bolthandle and cockinglever.
the hole in the bolt must be alinged over the transferport when the bolt is closed.

Image

pix of the probe sealing against the barrel

i had to do alot of power mods to, cos its original limited to 3 joule.
incresed valvevolume and valve mod, had to repositioned the pistolgrip, to get a longer hammerstroke.

that looks like you may end up with 1 eye in the future , i like the work and stuf you have done but if that bolt flys back WAM !
maybe an L slot in the bolt and a set skrew just for safty . it is a very cool gun .
i know i have bumped the bolt on my guns and didn't notice tell i shot.

hey cozmos, did you have problems with the skirts of the darts folding over.
They tend to do that in 22xx .40 cal conversions (im starting to make one)

Good point jezx, im on it.
will install a "push well lock" pin to prevent the bolt from takingoff.

Yes Joben, i had come across that issue, it seems that some type off blogundarts arent ment to handel that speed and pressure 8)
the .40 spike darts (22grains) work well around 300fps-400fps.
but at higer speed the skirt might fold, 500fps-700fps and they become unstabile but might stabilise furder down range?

working on some modifications on the gun, will post pictures when its done.
its getting a longerbarrel whit a screw on moderator, an is instaling diopter sight.
might bullkfill it but thats gonna cost me 90usd extra :?

its not getting a longer barrel i stick to the 24".
instead off having a shroud that extend 6" forward from the muzzle, i gonna get a threded coupling to the sound moderator.
this way i get a more compact rifle that brakes down i 4 pieces when transporting (no tools neded).

i got this walther diopter fore a real bargin

Well i sure had to wait for my parts, but now its home :D

its not a pistol anymore, but i dont mind
notice the pin on the lower right, its goes in trough the block to stop the bolt from flying if fired whit the bolt in closed unlocked position.
