It does seem a bit of an overkill for a QB78. The stock cost more than the QB.

There is also going to be a fair bit of time invest in finishing the stock.

The stock is inlaid for a QB78, so I'll fit it to a QB78 for now.
The stock is quite wide and the QB78 inlay is rather shallow and simple, so the stock can be re-inlay for other guns without much trouble in the future. Maybe a HW100?
Spent a couple hours last night touching up the fit of the inlay. Now it has an excellent fit. What to do with the extra length at the front.

Nope I didn't name the stock. It arrived with a name on it.

I guess it is the name of the lady that worked on the the stock.
