Are you happy with the airgun selection in Canada? Poll

#1 Post by pirellip »

Hello All,

I curious if anyone else wished they had a greater selection of airguns to purchase in Canada. The selection here doesn't seem to be as great as the US or UK, but are we happy with what we can get?

I was noticing that most of the posts here on this forum, are about Crosman guns or something similar..... I never see to many high end guns, like I do on the US forums. Always been curious about that myself.

Canadian generally don't have the same level of disposable income as folks in the States...our tax burden is overwhelming. So, for many, high end airguns are out of reach. Also, with our firearm laws, many people don't want to bother licensing airguns that go over 500fps.

I think that it depends where you are. There seems to be a number of members that shoot alot indoors and that is because of their locations. There is not as much call for high end stuff if your not going to use it at it's potential. Maybe it's just me but how many guns can you use. As for selection in Canada you can get just about anything you want, if you want it bad enough.

I think we have a pretty good selection up here. What is missing that people would buy? Maybe a dealer will decide to import them if people show a desire to buy something we don't currently have offered in Canada.

From the "dealer's list" I can find about 30 airgun brands in Canada.
http://my.tbaytel.net/~coopers@tbaytel.net/Dealers/

Airgun Brands in Canada
Weihrauch (good selection)
Diana (good selection)
Webley (Xocet, Tomahawk, & the pistols)
Xisico
Baikal
Slavia
Crosman/Benjamin
Daisy
Hatsan
Gamo
Umarex (numerous models)
Twinmaster
Air Force
Norica
BSA (only SuperSport in stock)

Nice list TCooper, but to add to that list the korean pcp's can also be had if you are willing to go through the motions. D&L is a distributor for Pyramid Air and will deal with them for you,as that is who I went through to get my 909s

Hey Hotsky prices are what they are we buy what we can afford and have fun with what we end up with. Such is life. As they say lifes a bitch then you get married then you die then the worm get you. By the way anybody know why the geese fly upside down over Sask. Because there's nothing worth shyt on.

Ps I'm originaly from Swift Current Sask.

Airgun selection

#13 Post by Wolf »

The question should not be about selection, but about price!
When you see what the Americans pay compared to what we pay, for the same item you want to cry.
Then again when I see what relatives in England pay for the same airgun, I don't feel so bad.

My only wish is that all those airguns & pellets in Todd's post be available localy.
I only shoot indoors, so 495 fps is good for my needs so far.
