 Silencers/Muzzle Brakes for AirGuns are no big deal! A buddy of mine just ordered one from the good-ole US of A, about 5 month's ago, for his Modded Crosman 2240. It had been shipped by Canada Post, and no one went :axe: Postal on anybody, or anyone... The only thing is if you decided to put it on say a Kimber .25 cal. handgun, and modified it to fit onto the muzzle, I would not want to be confronted by the Police/OPP/RCMP. But when there used for a FireArm the blast produces heat and expansion, and would not last to long, as they were manufactured for AirGun use. The in-nerd's would self destruct after about 100 shot's. There made for AirGuns, preferably Co2 ones because Co2's make more of a Blast then regular springers or pneumatic's. There also used on some of C.T.C. AirGuns on the Rifles ie: Beeman Gold Series etc. to aid in cocking the springer. Alot of these AirGun Law's (R) in the gray/grey area's, and if you abuse them your abusing everyone who's into Match Shooting or just plain plinking around.
Alot of my used guns I've gotton, were from Lawyers and one Police Constable. Don't everyone get abit Paranoid now. You can't shoot in city limits anyway's or in your backyard's either, unless it's out of towne/city/village. Believe me, I've been busted for it before. I was 5 feet into city limits. There was bush everywhere. The Cop was a Knob. I only got a $25. fine and they gave back my "PELLET" gun after 30 day's. Just Use Commom Sense...

I am curious, can anyone point me to the actual laws regarding silencers? Or know what the actual wording is?

Thanks

I just lent the info out to a buddy, basically it goes, any device that reduces the sound of any projectile fired device is illegal, they worded it very well to include airguns, airsoft, paintball, firearms, etc. Anything to make it quiet is illegal, when i get my info back i can take dig pics and post it. Theres no way around it here legally. But i guess you gotta be caught :)

The Criminal Code is not a secret document. It's available online for FREE. Every gun owner should read through sections 84-104 inclusive. It will take 10-15 minutes and will be worth the effort.
