I can imagine tapping a hose on the tube just above the trigger thru the tube into the valve. the other end of the hose connect to an airsource or hpa bottle but hell too much trouble for all that might as well get a 2240 to start with.

i think it would work fine . but you will never use the pump if you can shoot 100 times with out it . also the pump on the 2289 will not reach realy high pressure so you will get more energy from the co2.

Uhhh...no.

Leave the 2289 as is...sell it if you don't like it and/or buy a Crosman 2240 and mod it.

Makes no sense trying to make a pumper into a co2 gun.

I was looking at them about an hour ago at Canadian tire, and they are $84.85.
I am thinking of hopping on the band wagon and getting one too, but I don't want to pay that much - I'm sure I've seen them cheaper (online, mail order)
Where's the best price on the 2240? How much does K&S sell them for? I looked last night at the webpage but didn't see any - I'll check again.

Edit: By the way has anyone else noticed that the Canadian Tire website doesn't have airguns anymore? I was trying to find the 2240 on the CT website last night - normally they're under Recreation>Hunting>Airguns.

I don't think it means anything at this point. They never sold airguns online...so why bother having them on their website. I think they just streamlined their online presence.
