Is there a source for longer Drozd barrels yet?

This is the place to talk about everything airgun related including air rifles, air pistols, pellet guns, pcp airguns and more.

Try the Drozd forum, they are taking orders now.

Where???? I've tried both Drozd forums and I don't see them. There's one thread at the one and I have no clue what the hell they're talking about...something about barrels, dies, cutters, etc, etc.....

How's your Drozd?... RedDot working well for you?

I'm having issues with the CO2 cylinder fitting too tightly. It makes installing and removing the cylinder difficult.

Currently, I'm using Crosman/Copperhead powerlets....yes, sometimes it's a bit of a wiggle...but they do fit. If you're having serious trouble trying to fit the powerlets, the magazine can be adjusted.

Otherwise, my Drozd is running very well. I've probably gone thru 1500 rounds already. Still on the same set of batteries. No jams, no troubles. Red dot works perfectly on the Drozd.

I recently received a full-auto mod board that I"ll install when I get the chance. I'm still considering getting a bulk air kit for it.

Is the gun accurate? No, 4-5" groupings at 10m. But, it's definately fun to shoot. However, it's way too loud to use in the backyard. I tried this for the first time a couple of days ago and I was shocked!!!! I quickly put the gun away before the Swat team came.

Your link above leads to the whole forum, not a particular posting or thread.

I found a posting for longer barrels at the other Drozd forum. Still have no idea about the price but at least I'm on the list.

I did finally find the other thread, 'Hey Guys' by Waksabi...doesn't seem to be going anywhere???!!!!

Yes many are trying to find a cheap source for barrls I lucked my friend has his own machine shop and made one for me from an old pellet gun I had. Took him 2 and half hours or about 250 bucks retail, that is why most just build a collar and thread a Crosman 1760 barrel, far cheaper. Cost me a pizza! :D

Easy barrel install...

#11 Post by wllm995 »

Have you read the post by a member of the Drozd forum who just took a standard crosman 1077 barrel and sanded the end down a bit for about 1 1/2 inches and just made a direct fit right into the end of the Drozd barrel using a hot glue gun ?

Well, I tried it - 15 minutes and it works like a charm! My Drozd now has a 10" barrel on it - much more accurate and higher fps. $15.00 for the barrel, my dremel tool and $9.00 for a cheap hot glue gun. Less than $25.00 and have a few hundred rounds of Gamo lead bbs (never use anything elso) thru it with no problems. And if I want to change the barrel, 30 seconds from my mini propane torch melts the glue and out it comes. Can you honestly come up with a cheaper and simpler way to put a barrel on a Drozd...?

My next one is getting a 16" barrel... :D :D

I like the idea of a one piece barrel much better. Will wait and see what comes of it.

I think it's a better idea too...but it looks like it might be a while, and it's bound to be more expensive. Why not have fun with a inexpensive, reversible mod while waiting for the Rolls-Royce version?

Geez...hope it's not quite Rolls Royce level....if it's more than CAD$50-60...I'll take a pass on it.
