PCP paintball gun

#1 Post by ABshooter »

Do you guys think this will work??

Image

How it works: you fill the 3" pvc tube with compressed air from an air compressor, open and shut the valve connected to it to fill the main part of the gun with air, drop a .50 cal paintball down the barrel, take aim, and turn the "trigger" valve, which lets the air into the barrel behind the paintball, firing it at your target. Do ya think it will work??

I just put the IMG headers in the right places (you still have the closing /IMG header in the end of your post ;)

So to do it correctly you click the IMG button, type in the the picture, then click the ING button again? To post a link to a site do you do the same thing with the URL button and the site address?

For posting pics, I just copy the IMG part at photobucket...

It could work, I guess. I can't really tell because your diagram is so small I can't read the text. But just looking at it and your description I'd say you just reinvented the spudgun in .50 cal.

sprry to dissapoint you, but it will suck. i made a couple of spudguns before (this basically is a .50cal pneumatic spudgun) and the problem about yours is this: you will get a HUGE drop in power after each shot. velocity wise it will be something like this: 300fps, 230fps, 150fps, 110fps, 80fps

the other problem with making this sort of thing is the fact that you can only pump it up to 150 psi (the valve starts leaking after 160, checked myself). that is NOT enough pressure, even though you can make a HUGE tank. remember - paintball / airguns use 800psi. when you are dealing with projectiles, its better to have less volume, high pressure than high volume and low pressure.

hope this helped,
btw, you can make a small, single shot paintball gun, works great !

Theres also a quick way, in the post editor...
you can write the url of an image.
then highlight it.
then click the Img button.
it puts that tags on the begining and end.
