I finished fixing up the rifle I picked up at the gunshow last week end . Seeing the stock was in bad shape I deceided to paint it black and install a recoil pad plus I made a barrel extention with some 1/2" PVC white water pipe from CTC, painted that also black..now if I can get it to shoot good ...it has a lousy trigger...more work.

Any suggestions on how to smooth out the trigger a bit...it's very heavy

most rifles have an internal spring pushing the trigger back, you might be able to dismantle the gun and replace the spring.
check if you can find a exploded schematic of your gun, locate the spring, find a similar , weaker spring and change it.

That looks almost identical to a beeman 1040.
Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.
