well you can put in a couple of washers in the piston to beef it up a bit or you can replace the spring with one thats same length but heaver duty coils or a longer one same coil thinkness mabye 3 coils longer at the max.. other then that not alot unless you want to mod the piston and slap in a leather seal and at same time beefup the spring by only 2 coils.. thats about all i can tell you on this one........a few ideas for you to look into....

Hi Steph, welcome aboard.
Before you start upgrading to improve the velocity, have check what kind
of velocity you're getting with it. My D20 does 585 on chrono, I can imagine perhaps
I can improve it to 630 or so but for now I don't think it's worth while doing for so little
improvement beside might wear out the seal much faster than normal.

Hi Mikey,

I have 5 Diana's so far and D24 is on my list to get to add on to my collection.
How or what does fall apart all of the time on D24 ???

I heard everybody who own one says it's pretty solid even with plastic trigger.

I have had my diana 24 177 cal T04 for like 3 years now and nevre once had a problem wiht it in fact only a week or so ago i took it apart for the first time ever just to check the spring and seal condition, and they are still 100% and still has all the factoy lube in tack as well , i have not shot it as much as my other guns but its been shot a fair bit now lately i have been grabbing it instead of one of the 16 rifles i have..even the accuracy of my 24 is amazing,, and i this is the first time i have ever heard they fall apart ,i have a diana model 16 and only just recently put in a new leather seal in it,,its an old old gun.as far as iam concerend the 24 is a great gun in both cals and all other diana's in my opnion are a great buy and totaly well built guns that are made to last.....

I've pushed thousands of pellets through my D24....not once has anything come loose....this gun shoots amazingly accurate.....If anything... the D24 could use a power boost in the .22CAL TO5 version..400f/s with 14.3g is a bit on the soft side for such a nice rifle.....

I shot my Diana24 T05 model yeststerday and put about 300-400 pellets through it with very little rest in between. It's still fine. I was scared the piston head or spring was gonna break lol. But I was just having so much fun with it I couldn't stop shooting lol. I have to say they are very durable rifles. When I first got mine I was kind of uneasy about the plastic trigger and sights but it's very durable I have to say.
