CP99 Compact owners out there?

#1 Post by IanC »

Just saw info about this pistol for the first time today.
Looks pretty cool does anyone have one of these?
What is it made of? Just asking because on the crosman homepage they stated the CPS was made of metal and i bought one and was a little pissed.
Ive got a PPk. How does the 99 compact compare to it?
Myself I like the PPK a lot.
How does it compare to the CP99 standard.
I find the trigger on the 99 to be way to long and stiff. If its the same trigger pull i probably wont buy a compact and stick with my PPK.
I really like the trigger unit on it since its so light and smooth.
And that its made of metal.
Also the grip on the 99C looks smaller than the standard grip, is it?
One more thing does it have the pull out magazine co2 system?
Thanks

I don’t have one, but yes the gun is smaller than regular CP99/sport

It’s a little more powerful and accurate.

I used to have the PPK, but don't any more  not exactly what I consider powerful or accurate.

P99

Wasntr really looking for power but fun.
Dont really understand why people try to associate power with
most airpistols in general. I mean if you want power dont buy
an airgun. Get a P99 instead of the CP.
I was wondering how it compared in the fun level and accuracy.
Im not expecting much but a little better accuracy than the PPK
would be great.

I don’t, btw when I did my PPK a while back I did know that it will be underpowered and fairly inaccurate. But after a couple of month I was bored out of my mind with it. :o It’s not really about power but when you can see the bb in the air it’s just wrong. [-X and you need a certain velocity for the bb/pellet to make it to the target. The accuracy also made it almost impossible to enjoy it.

That bb was easy to follow all the way down range.
Found mine to be so inaccurate i bought another one to see if i could make things better. with two i should be able to double my odds.
It didnt work. So I sold the second one. Personally i just like blow back and is as much fun without bbs as with.
Thanks for your thoughts
