i just bought some Beeman Hollowpoint Pellets .177 and would these kill better than say pointed or wadcutter?
and also how do you determain how many grains a pellet is?

To answer question A)
A hollowpoint will do a lot more damage then those others you mentioned because of expansion. It will be a much greater shock to the tissue in your target as it transfers more energy to the target in its expanded state. A pointed head pellet will not expand as much and might actually "ice pick" right through the target (go in one ear and out the other ).
