hey larry,
I'm getting a QB-78 in 22 cal if you want me to test with that too? you could put my name down twice on the list and i'll just use 2 diff guns, and you could just send me 2 batches of balls. just a thought since there is not much participation

I think I should get a reloading scale to check the weight of the pellets.

Papaburger there is no need of a scale or the measure of pellet & ball. This test is structured to measure the difference in velocity change regardless the actual velocity itself. The speeds can be greatly different, between ball and pellet... it is the CHANGE in speed over distance of the ball and the change in speed over distance of the pellet. ONLY the changes are being measured and compared.

But if you are doing your own measure for someother reason than this test..... then I can say the Gammo Hunter .22 round nose has the closest weight to the Lobo/Ballistics ball. The lead ball is 15.57 grains, the Gammo Hunter is 15.4 grains.

The next nearest is beaman SilverSting at 15.74 in .22

The others all exceed that and run around 15.9 grains that are even close at all. -LarryS

Nope! Not for me.... Wrap balls in cotton, wrap cotton with Scotch tape, put in addressed envelope, mark envelope as "Sample fishing weights", seal envelope with Scotch tape, hand to post office employee, with $1 and a smile...... -LarryS

jezX. -A goodly amount of balls will be sent to you tomorrow. I will place them in a sealed plastic box without any special labeling on the envelope other than "Lead balls" to identify them to customs.

I need to know whether all these balls are getting to all the shooters before I start sending any of the expensive German ball products out through the mail.

ineedPals report is bothering me..... It costs money to send stuff out and if it does not get there.... I am wasting my time. Let me know if that happens to you.

If you receive the balls, e-mail me or post the amount that came. From that I can decide whether I can sell and mail you a box of 250 at the price I paid for them plus the shipping cost. Another alternative is we trade by mail my 250 balls for .22 "PELLET" types that you might have that would be of interest to me. We can do this by e-mail to avoid boring the board.

Your shooting data will be added in a bit on the list of shooters.... I have to go back to your post earlier to get it...... LarryS
