ive never recrowned a barrel before so how do go about doing it ? i want to get all the accuracy out of my 2289 .

unless you know its off .don't recrown it . one problem may be 2289's are not a good gun , don't blam the crown.

This is not a method that I would recommend. Cutting a barrel with a miter box and hand hacksaw is not likely to produce a straight cut. If the cut is not straight you can sand all you want and you will never get a good crown.
The photos of a good and bad crown were good though.

why would you cut the barrel any ways > i think im goin to get some rit paste . and does any one know were i can get moly grease ?
