Walther nighthawk anygood?

#1 Post by ral_jiktar »

I'm thinkign of getting the walther Nighthawk by crossmark for x-mas

I liek the look, and with all the attachments comming with it, would be cool to get in one easy package.

I read the review center, they mostly say good things but everyone complaines about the trigger being too long ang heavy.

wile the adds in canadian tire say "realistic feel", I've used a real pistol, and the trigger is extremly long and heavy. and it never bothered me really.

The body is syntetic, but the slid doesn't move, so I woudl see nothign wrong with that.

and lastly, my favorite real gun IS the walther P99 so it's hard to resist, if it's a crappy gun, Ill stick with a CP sport and stick it on my wall with the other unusable and/or broken guns

300 something is fine. I plan on making a tiny range in my house, I would liek to have a good indoor fun looking gun. Plus like I said, the P99 is my favorite gun, the grip jsut makes me wet my pants XD.

it deserves it's award for gun of teh year and best grip on a pistol.

i gota say the nighthawke is a nice loking pistol but take away all the toys its just a CPSport with dressing on it. so you can spend money on the toys or save almost half and just get sport really.. i wanted a nighthawke once but as soon as i found out it was an over dressed sport i changed my mind but like i always say to each his or her own, but it is a cool gun i gota admit.... 8)

How much is the nighthawk? You should put that money towards a CP99 instead. From what I understand it's the same as the CPSport, but with a better trigger(?) and resembles the real gun a lot more. I think K&S has them for $220 with no tax or shipping.

I had the CPSport and it is a very fun gun for plinking because of its realistic feel. It would be great for a basement range, but wouldn't be much good for any sort of hunting. The Nighthawk looks like it might be more fun (hey you can shoot in the dark!) but is more expensive.

I’d rather get a CP99 instead, never really cared for the all accessories (I mean do you really need them?) I like my guns naked :)

what guns was that? btw there are as many different triggers as there are guns...

Buf If you really like the P99 than get a PAL and buy a P99 while you still can! :?

Does the top slide back and fore when firing (CP99) ? Also what kind of pellets are suitable (wadcutter, pointed, dome, lead balls , prometheus , skenco ... etc)

no the slide doesn't move, and you can't use skenco or prometheus pellets (they're too long). but you can use pointed, HP, WD pellets...

The Nighthawk is a great looking airgun but I think the novelty of it will soon wear off.
