Anyone here use bore sighter ? I was thinking about this

http://www.laserlyte.com/main-pages/1LA ... pter1.html

Will it damage the bore since arbor is made of steel ?

I've been debating to get one for over a year now but I always manage
without one, so I guess I never need it.

It won't damage the bore since arbor
is CNC machined from aircraft aluminum and Class 1
hard anodized for strength.

It's not made out of steel.

I think a pellet has too much of a drop for the laser bore sighter to be usefull .
That is only my opinion.
I was thinking of getting one of them sometime ago but i change my mind.

LOL, a homemade laser bore sighter. :)

I have no idea on how to align the axis of the wood with the laser. :?:
I still have to find a cheap source of laser devices

Radio Shack in the U.S., sells a pen sized laser that has a "V" notch on the bottom over the whole length of about 6". It also has 2 round magnets recessed in the "V" notch. It is made of Aluminium & alloys.

It will magnetically lock on a steel barrel or can be easily taped on temporarily in alignment with the barrel axis. The difference in height between the bore and the laser beam can readily be measured whether over the barrel or under. That difference can be marked on your target and the scope or whatever can then be calibrated as a true bore sight.

Additionally, the laser has a bubble level....this can be veryusefull for vice shooting etc. It sells for $19.95 in cheap U.S. dollars. I gave one to my Son-in-law & his Grand kids to put on their spring loaded Daisy. -LarryS
