should my gun be ok?

#1 Post by link_dc »

well i just came back from mexico, and my gun was in the gun case in the garage for 2 weeks, and it was pretty cold in there, i just got it out and put it in my room, when i got it out of the garage i just shot 2 shots out of it outside just for fun, because i havent shot it for 2 weeks. Would the cold break it? its a springer

It shouldn't matter, but just to be safe let it warm up a bit b4 shooting it
just in case the seal is stiff frozen ...

It won't break.
However, hope you gun is well rub down with oil. Bringing a cold gun into a warm humid room is going to get you a lot of condensation on the metal and maybe rust if you don't wipe it off fast.

if the seal inside is very cold it could crak on impact . it's not likly to happen but it could .( i don't know what the seal is made from )

I think the quest has a nylon piston seal. and if it cracked you would notice because there would a significant power drop right away.
