There are some pretty innovative , and competent gunmakers in the N/W Frontier province of Pakistan ( an area where the central govt. has little control ) . They have made some nifty devices , including air canes , trick cigarrete cases etc . I'm not at all surprised that they came up with a homegrown , improved Brocock design .

At a guess , if Customs recognized it as anything other than a keychain novelty , it would be a Prohibeted weapon on two counts . That would be barrel length , and velocity . Since cheif provincial firearms officers have staff , some of whom surf the web , I would be real carefull .

Can you guys spell STING , over the years there have been a few .

Chris is right, the ATF in the States are infamous for using this tactic as everyone in the agency wants to make a name for themselves!! This keychain is not worth a lifetime firearms ban and restricted International travel.

Just my thoughts as Martin has made it very clear he is going after the easy visible targets and not the real problem concerning firearms.

You got it , it has happened before . The ATF is under some pressure about the amount of guns smuggled across the border . Dont think for a moment that they don't know the E-mail address of your friendly chief provincial firearms officer . The problem in the online world , is that you truly dont know who you are chatting with . Since we now have a "Gun Cri me " issue , courtesy of Mr. Martin , the pressure is on to be seen to be doing something . Spoiling your fun , seizing your toys , and then letting you off with a lifetime ban in lieu of prosecution is chalked up as a win . It's a hell of a lot easier to harass you than collar some Glocker in the Jane and Finch area .

Bingo! I have a few friends on different Police Forces and while they all admit there is a gun problem, they also know that people who practise safe firewarm storage and who have registered the guns are not the real problem here. Go after the easy identified targets pick up votes from the ill advised , and then worry about it again in 4 years! The billion wasted on gun control could have gone a long ways in adding more police and tightening up the border, but then again who ever said they really knew how to fix things.

Just promises, delays, and hidden costs, what have we done to our country!!!

Sorry to use this forum as a sounding boarding but us Airgunners are very close losing more than we think. Just remember 501 FPS will make you a criminal, so remember that next month when new stricter gun laws are tabled.

No doubt. In the eyes of the general public...guns aren't cool, so politicians and senior bureaucrats are going to seize the opportunity to look like that they're tough on crime. To the average Joe Blow public...it really means nothing. As long as they can afford their cable TV and their 'beer & popcorn'...they're content to vote in corrupt governments.

BTW if they take their lead from Australia , air pistols are classed as full fledged firearms , subject to the same storage requirements . There you have to belong to a club to qualify for a permit , and must compete in a minimum six registered matches per year in order to retain your permit . You would need two secure lockups , one for your piece , one for your ammo .

This would be the end of the game as we now know it . Guess whos laws the Libs are talking about copying , the UK and Australia . If they copied Brit law , we would be better off , the 6-12 fpe system would allow more power than we are currently allowed without an FAC . If they were going to adopt any changes re airguns , I would rather see the European pentagon F standard .

Gents the threat is very real ,

Stayed tuned for another 4 years of loss of privileges and rights. You heard the King of Canada on TV, handguns have no place in the city! Longarms will not be far behind. So get ready to embrace Australian laws and give up your hobby ladies and gents!!!

When you have lawyers running the country is this really a surprise.

I'm going to assume you meant "deluding ourselves," although what you do in the privacy of your own bathroom is none of my business.

Thats pretty cool but I wouldn't want to carry it around loaded. You sit down on it wrong and it will shoot a hole in your testicle.
