Got my Gamo Delta...

#1 Post by link_dc »

And its AWSOME! im glad i got it! i love the feel, and how small it is, it isnt uncomfortable to use either, but theres only one thing... the front sight is on crooked, i was to busy looking for the a droopy barrel, that i forgot to look at the sight! is there any way to fix it? also it makes a wierd noise when you shoot it, diffrent from my quest, is that normal?

At last you got it, I'm glad you like it, congratulation.

Perhaps there is a way to adjust the front sight ...???
or line up the rear to the front ....

it doesnt really effect the aiming, its on an angle, just the little part with the fiber optic tube thing is on an angle.

I think I did warn you but it was for the rear sight.
Well if it shoots good and works good and you like then it's ok to keep.
If it's bothering you, may be get an exchange ?

Cool looking rifle. To me it still looks small but I'm glad you are happy with it. How does it shoot compared to your quest? Don't worry about the noise it makes when shot all springers make a little bit of a different sound.

it shoot much more accurate than my quest, and it feels so nice to hold it, at first its kinda uncomfortable to look throught the sights and have the stock against your shoulder, but then you kinda get the feel of it. i think it is a better gun than the quest. the only thing is, that i had to pay $120 for it! but it was worth it! but i got one question, is the back plastic thing, on the end of the chamber suppose to be loose? i can move it up and down, and forward and back, and it almost comes out if you lift it up hard enough, well i will see if its normal when i go back to the shop i got it from. But the one thing that sucks is, i dont think they exchange them, they send them to gamo for repairs though. should i do that, or ask a gunsmith if he can fix the sight, and maybe secure the plastic thing on the end of the chamber?

Perhaps give it a try to get it fix because they might
end up giving you a new one without defect.

I had a problem once with Gamo R77C, it wont shoot over 175 fps
because the revolver was too far from the transfer port, D&L sent it back
and Gamo gave me a new one seal in the box.

Try and get it fixed. Don't take it back just for one little defect. Most defects can be fixed. Did you know the Gamo delta really shoots about 530fps?

Hi Linkdc,

I would say that first you should see if you can exchange it where you bought it, and if they won't exchange it(can't see why they wouldn't)then look into getting it fixed. At least that's what I would do, and what I've had to do once in the past. If the retailer is willing to exchange it, insist on taking it out of the box and inspect it before you leave the store to avoid the same problem or maybe a different one.

I've heard really good things about the rifle from a freind at work who bought it for himself and his sons to plink with. He said it shoots really good and they are hitting what they are aiming at. I don't think you over paid, seems they go for anywhere from $110-120Cnd. And for the price if it shoots good and feels right that's more than a good value. Hope it all works out for you.
