Gamo G1200

#1 Post by sniper »

The good old day, used to buy one airgun and it would be good for months or sometimes for years. Now adays one every month or two is good. Today I got a shipment of Gamo G1200, it comes in a set of 4 .... what's this world coming to.....
If I would've rotate using my airguns, one gun perday I would see the same gun in two months .....LOL...
I wonder if I should sell a couple of these brand new G1200.

Gamo G1200 has very nice finished , the look from the outside with a beautiful wooden stock reminds me the beeman's stock that are made in spain. Easy to load drop in pellets in the magazine that fit for 12 but I usually put in ten, solid iron sights and very accurate. it likes wadcutter pretty much, tested with Hobby .177 and BSA .177 and no problem load fast pump action and smooth. Very consistent from 488 fps to 510 fps.
This baby has alot of room for improvement, I've been checking most of sites on G1200 are in Europe. It's priced at 169 Euro = $ 338.00 CND..... amazing ... http://www.luftdruckwaffenshop.de/index ... th/132_134

Methinks it's time for an intervention.

Sniper, we're hauling you off to AA (airguns anonymous). This is for your own good.

me what they just got in stock ..... you know I can't say NO.. to guns.
next time I should just inject it directly into my vein on my arm ....

   I have to agree with Marmont. AA is where you belong. Two rifles I can understand; you have two hands. But four??? Don't tell me you got your toes trained to operate triggers too.

Congrats, nice looking and unique rifles you got there. 8) 8) 8)
How did you manage to get those? Ordered them from Europe?

Time to give us a review on one of those. How is the trigger?, etc.

G1200 internal parts are all metal except for the trigger is made out
of hard plastic. Trigger pull is not heavy, it's much less than 2240.
It's not too fuzzy on type of pellets but it must be wadcutter for it to work
properly and watch not to insert any defective or pellets are already
mangled, well I guess that wouldn't go with any guns.
On this experiment I tested it with Hobby, Xisico, BSA, JSB Match Diabolo
& S100, Beeman Red, Gamo Round, they work excellent flawlessly.
DoNot use Beeman Laser.
Easy loading in pellets, pull back the pellet pusher and with muzzle
pointing down, pellet nose in first and they'll slide nice and easy. Also
another good feature the mag. cover can be open with one pull back.
The pellet loading system is like the CR99 with slight improvement, instead
of 1/4 round circular motion, it's a straight horizontal motion. Less stress
on the spring.

NEXT POST ON IMPROVEMENT (MOD).

Thanks Parker,

Yup, it's as much fun as CR622, you can shoot it as fast as you can pump it.
As accurate as 622, I knocked down 5 powerlets target at 35 ft in less than 20 seconds.
