SOLOW Mounts for Crosman MK1

#1 Post by ETA »

No scope rail on the Crosman MK1 or 2?
No problem with SOLOW mounts. :D Here is a new gadget I got for my Crosman MK1. However, it will only mount 30mm scopes or red dots.
It comes with two rings. It is very sturdy and wide, so only one is really needed. Since I have two MK1, it worked out well.
On the down side, it is not cheap; $45US with shipping from the manufacturer's site. www.solow.com

And you swear that the scope is mounted solid on the gun??? It looks like the screw tightens the scope and clamps to the gun at the same time.

That is correct, when you tighten the two screw, it grips both the scope and the gun.
The aluminum use to make these mounts are truly 'aircraft grade'. Where do we hear those terms before? It is probably higher grade than the stuff that BKL uses. They have a certain springiness to them and very hard. The shape is well designed, when you tighten the mount, they grip hard and even. The scope is not moving thats for sure. If you tighten them too much, they can bit into the paint and pot metal of the MK1.
The MK1 has two grooves/shoulders on both sides of the receiver. The mount bottoms and squares on them, so it mounts solid and true.
