Metalmuncher49, It _is_ fun making super efficient "brakes", "Flame Suppressors", and such to protect our enviornment, isn't it!.
Since I like working in close tolerances on brakes..... I need to get another brass rod slightly larger than 0.22 (5.5mm) and lathe it down to a flush fit without play in the barrel a few inches.... with a cutoff end just past the exit hole on the "brake" to inspect "Flame arresting" cylinder for dead centering to the bore.
The cheap hardware store brass rods are excellent for pushing a cleaning patch thru the barrels and pushing out pellets that got bent or whatever.
The Thumps and Puffs I get are clear proof of flame extinction.

that looks great
Would that be just for cosmetics? Or do these things actually have a place on a springer (slavia 630)? Thanks in advance.
