hi kilcrow . i have had many barrels ,lot of cooey and mossberg . i usually clean the barrel good and push a pellet through and mesure the groove in the pellet . which should be a little smaller then the land to land in the barrel . i have found pellet guns to have looser barrel .(l to l) hatsan,crosman are what i tested aganst .2240 have slopy loose barrels land to land bigger then .22r . if you want test it out and see i could be crazy .hope not .

well thats cool. your testing and measuring methods sound similar to mine, with pushing pellets thru, measuring them, etc... i did hear that cooey barrels are smaller than normal. right now the one i have is a savage i do believe... lost the stamped in info when i got it turned on the lathe
i do have one barrel that would be the prfect fit, too bad its only about 9" long
