My designs were based (erroneously) on phasing the ball exit to be out of step(ahead) of the sound pressure wave by re-reflection of the pressure wave. This should have caused no effect in velocity. WRONG.....
I forgot something.... The pellet or ball is pushing an entire column of barrel air ahead of it before the projectile leaves the barrel end. This pre-loads my cylinder which NEEDED to be empty..... and would create all kinds of new pressure fronts and conditions around the pellet as it traverses the cylinder before exiting. - Next step.... remove all internal parts, and place a larger exit hole on cylinder. It will of course be louder but I need consistant velocity...... -LarryS
