I saw yesterday at St Clair Ave W & Runnymede:
- Crosman SpringMaster, 2 models, $50 and $100 (probably SpringMaster 795)
- Winchester (probably 1000SB) $150
Which one is better?.. I am a beginner. If Winchester is really 1000 fps, I'll buy it tonight...
Thanks
Wal-Mart: Winchester, Crosman - Toronto, Canada
The Winchester you saw at Wal-Mart is more than likely the 500XS. I just got one here in Sackville Nova Scotia and that's what I got. can't tell you much about it's operating characteristics, cuz I got it for myself for Christmas, but it is a real nice feeling rifle and sure looks nice. There's something about wood that I like anyway, in comparison to plastic.

Beginner, you say? Get a a daisy Red Ryder, for sure. J/K.
In my opinion, pumpers are better for beginners, and I hate springers. I would have to say get a Crosman 781. Cheap, fairly accurate, single pump, 460 fps, BB/pellet... the ideal beginning gun. Seriously, they rock.

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.
