The mods I am planning for my 2240 are:
24" barrel
crosman steel breech
shim the hammer spring
extended bolt (homemade)
4x32 crosman scope and, if I break the front sight in trying to get it off, a
muzzle break for looks. Sound like a good hunting rig?

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

Yeah, good idea, but how much does a bushnell 3-9x42 cost? And where would I get one?

Check out the LeBaron online catalogue for current pricing. I believe they still carry the scope with the adjustable objective.
