#1 Post by TriggerHappy416 »

hey guys

my name is tony, 16(17 on dec 30 :D ), living in toronto

ever since i was 12 i've always wanted a gun...but living in canada makes it that much harder

recently i've been checking out airguns

my friends own a crosman 2289 backpacker and crosman 1077 airsource

im currently deciding on a slavia 631 or slavia 630
any idea which one is better?

thanks

Hey Tony,

The 631 and the 630 are great rifles, but the 631 has a more easily adjustable rear sight and the thumb latch to open the barrel rather than the break open style of the 630. If you can handle both before you buy your best bet would be to pick the one you like best since they share the same powerplants and barrels. Personally I like the feel of the 631 best, but the 630 appeals to me more in the looks department. Both are equally accurate, and they are accurate. Easy to work on to if you like to tinker. Welcome the forum.

sweet...

i think im leaning towards the slavia 631...probably goin to place an order at homehardware tomorrow =D

after skimming through the forum, i hear that its best if u tune up the rifle before using it (oiling, cleaning off the protective grease in the barrel, etc)

can someone tell me how to do this? lol

thanks =D

Another vote for the 631. Try our search feature, I believe there are several threads on how to tune up the CZ.
